8am Class Starts

Length of Class: (3 - 4hrs. total)

Classroom portion:

• Introduce staff
• Go over course material
• Answer questions

Gun safety inside and outside

• NRA safety rules
• Transportation of firearms
• Proper storage of firearms

Gun operation

• Parts of a gun
• Ammunition
• Loading/unloading a magazine
• Loading a semi auto firearm
• Loading a gun
• Unloading/malfunction clearing
• Sight alignment
• Trigger control
• Demonstrate and check grip and stance with training gun range

Shoot same course of fire as CHL qualification.
Partner up the 10 students into 5 groups which each share a gun between two students. Students and staff monitor shooters and give feedback.

• Check for proper grip, good stance, correct shooting errors.
• Review parts of a gun, and review owner's manual for instructions on gun cleaning.
• Staff demonstrate field strip of S&W then monitor students as they perform the task.
• More on the importance of keeping a gun clean for storage and later use.
